How To Apply

  1. Download, Sign & Date, Scan and Save a copy of the Local 71 Application for Membership.
  2. Complete the online Journeyman Application Form below, and include where indicated, with your online application submission a copy of your Resume and License. (Alternatively you may fax or email your application and associated documents. Fax: 613-728-7242 or Email: office@ualocal71.com)
  3. Email or fax a copy of your Plumbers License or Welding Certificate, as well as, a copy of your up-to-date safety certificates for WHMIS, Working at Heights and Worker Safety & Health Awareness. (Fax: 613-728-7242 or Email: office@ualocal71.com)
  4. We will contact you once a position becomes available.

Join UA Local 71 as a Journeyman

If you want to join the union and are already a certified plumber, steamfitter or welder please fill out the form.

I hereby apply for membership in the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada, Local 71 ("the Union") and agree to abide by the By-laws of the Union and its Constitution. In doing so, I, of my own free will and accord, hereby authorize the Union or its representatives, or Officers to be my exclusive bargaining agent in all matters pertaining to rates of wages, hours of work and any other condition of my employment.
